My Story

Recycled art workshops

I began my career as a textile and surface designer. After having children, I started working at Driftwood Day Camp. Little did I know that running arts and crafts would completely transform my career. I have a deep passion for camp and eventually rose to the position of Art Director. I remained there even after my children grew up and left. Camp taught me the immense joy of working with children and sharing my creativity with others.

After taking my children to an art class at my local library, I approached the librarian and asked for guidance on how to teach a class. She simply replied, “You need an idea.” Well, that’s precisely what I have an abundance of. This led me to work in various libraries, collaborating with children from preschool to adulthood.

My journey into arts in education began through my children’s elementary school, where I was once again advised that all I needed was an idea. This is how I eventually transitioned into teaching in the school system. My work seamlessly combines my passions for art, people, and the environment. I am constantly seeking new ideas, so please don’t hesitate to reach out and discuss your needs. Together, we can find solutions.
