Animal Shelter Donation

Animal Shelter Donation Project

In this class, each person will create at least 1 dog or cat toy that will be donated to a local animal shelter.  In addition to toys the shelters can use old towels, blankets and pet food and treats.  I would be happy to collect these items as well. The toys will be made from t-shirts, tennis balls, water bottles and fabric.  for the teens who bring in items for donation will earn an half hour of community service

Sherri Winick – Project Challenge Teacher at Mattlin Middle School, Plainview

Together, Leslie & I  created a workshop that combined curriculum with a creative twist for my students.  The models and materials presented to the students generated excitement and inspiration so they could try new things in their own construction process.  The discussion about the importance of recycling gave the students something to think about.  Each child completed their travel log with confidence. They are currently using them to enrich their country research assignment. The skills they learned could be used in future projects. Leslie was wonderful to work with; cooperative as well as a creative and flexible thinker.  I look forward to working with her again.
